Environmental Issues affecting Industry

The section co-ordinates and develops Departmental views on environmental issues affecting industry. This involves liaison with the industrial development agencies, industry representative bodies and other stakeholders, to ensure that a correct balance is struck between the need for environmental protection and the competitive concerns of Irish business. The Unit participates in various EU negotiations and discussions on new environmental legislative initiatives which impact on business.

• Sustainable Development and other Environmental Issues Affecting Industry
• Energy Using Products
• Phasing out of incandescent lightbulbs
