Credit Availability For Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment has established a dedicated e-mail address to facilitate businesses to inform the Department of situations where the flow of credit to viable business appears to be blocked. This builds on a number of initiatives already taken and follows the recent publication of the Independent Review on Credit Availability for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Businesses are asked to send their submissions by e-mail to

creditsupplyclearinggroup@entemp.ie

The information supplied will assist in the identification of specific patterns of events or groups of cases, by sector, geographically, or otherwise, where the flow of credit to viable business appears to be blocked. The Credit Supply Clearing Group will seek to identify credit supply solutions relating to these patterns.

The Group cannot act as an appeal mechanism for individual cases of credit refusal but it can address patterns emerging in relation to credit supply and information submitted should help in identifying those patterns.
