Official Languages Act 2003
Preparation of a draft scheme by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment
Section 11 of the Official Languages Act 2003 provides for the preparation by a public body of a draft scheme specifying those of its services the public body proposes to provide:
- exclusively through the medium of the Irish language
- exclusively through the medium of the English language
- through the medium of both the Irish and English languages.

Tá sé i gceist ag an Roinn Fiontar, Trádála agus Fostaíochta scéim a dhréachtadh de réir Alt 11 d’Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003. Is é bunchuspóir an Achta ná soláthar níos mó de sheirbhísí i nGaeilge a chur ar fáil ón tseirbhís phoiblí ar chaighdeán níos airde. Tá Aighneachtaí maidir le dréachtú na scéime sin á lorg ag an Roinn Fiontar, Trádála agus Fostaíochta anois ó aon pháirtithe leasmhara. Ba chóir aighneachtaí a bheidh ar fáil go poiblí ar shuíomh idirlín an Roinn Fiontar, Trádála agus Fostaíochta, a sheoladh isteach go leictreonach chuig: customerservice@entemp.ie Ina ionad sin is féidir iad a sheoladh tríd an bpost chuig: Aonad Na Nacmhainní Um Fhaisnéis, An Roinn Fiontar, Trádála agus Fostaíochta, 23 Sráid Cill Dara, Baile Átha Cliath 2. The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment propose to draft a scheme in accordance with Section 11 of the Official Languages Act, 2003. The primary objective of the Act is to ensure better availability and a higher standard of public services through Irish. The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment now wish to invite submissions in relation to the preparation of the draft scheme from any interested parties. Ideally submissions, which will be made available on the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment website, should be forwarded electronically to: customerservice@entemp.ie Alternatively they may be posted to: Information Resource Unit, Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, 23 Kildare Street, Dublin 2. The latest date for receipt of submissions is Tuesday, 30 June 2009. Further information in relation to the Act is available on the website of the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs www.pobail.ie. |
